what ram?

sorry for the dumb question i'm a little new to building computer, but i dont have any of the original information from my computer(or atleast i can't find it anywhere). i wanted to add more ram but i don't know what kind to get, is there anywhere in my system or BIOS or on the ram itself that i can tell what kind it is?? thanks
