Hi, I have just read 09 Athlon 64: Value, Speed and Overclocking
review, and i thought it was awsome. One thing tho, i intend to
purchase the Athlon 64 3200 90nm cpu, I Have overclocking in mind and
are going to use a vapocill LS, so anyhow could you advise me on what
type of ram to get, i.e pc3200, pc4000, pc4400 etc (will the levels
above pc3200 work on this motherboard?). The motherboard Im going to be
using is a abit AV8 3rd Eye (socket939) .

thanks in advance Alex.

I want to follow up on this question. I hope to upgrade to A-64 as well.

My question is how do I tell which ram is single sided and which is double sided?

I do not want to get 2-512s if they are DS'd, as I have read that does create problems with some MB's.

If I go DS'd ram I want to get 1-1gb.

So all you in the know let us know about the ram to purchase.

thanks

Single-sided RAM has chips on only one side of the RAM stick while double sided has chips on both sides. So if you want to find out just look at it.

Hey, Nickel020

I know that looking at it will tell me, BUT as most of us purchase hardware from places like Newegg, Zipzoomfly, etc. is there some other way to tell from the stats or info provided.

I have looked a the retailer's sites and the manufactures sites with out find the info.
