e6600, and a 965p ds3

It's no use running ddr800, right ? Unless you're 100% sure you're gonna do a cpu upgrade somewhere along the line, or OC your rig. It be best to buy some good ddr667, with good timings, no ?

Appreciate any input. Oh and if you wanna speculate, yes I'm waiting till april 22nd. If I'm willing to buy a e6600 right now, what should I buy then ?

I dont know why youd want anything besides PC2-6400 mem. Its so cheap these days.... Seems like a moot point and gives you enough room for some ocing if you wanted to. Its hard to recommend what mem to get. Theres alot of cheap stuff lately. I know alot of good 4-4-4-12 timing 2gb kits lately for $130 or less.

upper tier should be something like crucial balastix family, also the tracers.

Dominators are also fairly good, but kinda pricey.

Something in the middle would be like super talents. They could probably handle a moderate overclock and wont break your budget.

If you have the cash tho, id go with the balastix. They seem to be the best ram from what i hear.
