Corsair XMS, Kingston HyperX, Buffalo are all generally regarded as good. Not sure about Geil or OCZ.

Mushkin and Samsung make some highly overclockable RAM... and I've never heard of any imcompatabilities with either of those on nForce2 motherboards.

thank you JSSheridan, edmundoab and jeff. so it seems that Corsair or Mushkin are best. Excelent i will get a matched pair of 512 ddr400 Corsair XMS with the black heatspreaders. I don't see the LL doing me any good so i think the C2 will suit me perfectly.

I guess I should clarify, the Corsair memory you are looking at has CH5 chips. It use to have BH5 chips and there was much less problems and a much greater overclock potential.

ok well what ram manufacturer packages ram that meets my specs and has the bh5?

Buffalo PC3700 uses BH-5. Mushkin has a Labor Day weekend sale on BH-5 modules (albeit still expensive). Most PC3200 modules these days from Kingston or Corsair use BH-5.

War con said that the ram i am looking at has the ch5 so do i need to go up to the LL instead of the C2 to get the BH5 or was he mistaken?

The XMS3200C2 I just purchased was version 1.2 which is CH5. Some of the LL and some of the TWINX is still BH5, but a good place to ask is at the Corsair forum which is in the link I gave..
