I just bought a Lenovo Thinkpad W541 i7-4810MQ 2.8GHZ 16GB 240GB SSD W10 k1100 1080 SE 29-02. I'm putting in a 2TB Seagate Barracuda SSD. Then I'm moving to 32GB of RAM. What RAM and should I go with 2 16GB sticks?
Thank you for any and all guidance.

Typically, I'm a crucial "fan boy" when it comes to this stuff. They're reliable, and have a finder website

the W541 has 4 memory slots, as seen in the hardware maintenance manual here, and looks like you'll likely be installing 4x8GB memory. If you already have 2x8GB installed, then you only need to buy two more DIMM's. If you have 4x4GB installed, then you'll have to buy all 4 DIMM's. You can either open the bottom cover to find out what you have, or use CPU-Z in Windows and it will provided memory information

Thank you for your replies. I did get the new Thinkpad laptops yesterday, a W541 and a X201 wth an I7 at 2.67GHZ. I'll start installing new 2TB SSDs tommorrow and then maxing out the RAM. I'm a Thinkpad fanboy with much more than 10 of them. I cringe at the thought of a consumer laptop.
Could I get the link to where you got the manual, many of mine are older Thinkpads and difficult to find manuals for them, T61,T500, T420 and X201.

Manuals can be found at Lenovo's support site, the process is the same for any Lenovo product:

1. Click on PC support
2. Input the model or the machine type (I prefer to use machine type)
3. Wait a second or two for search box to bring up a little window

4. Click on Knowledge Base and Guides (either one works, you'll just have to navigate afterward using the panels on the left
5. Choose User Guides
6. Input "Hardware" into the search box
7. Click on Hardware Maintenance Manual
