If it says DDR RAM, then it'll be 133MHz PC2100 (actually, 100MHz DDR is PC1600, but PC2100 can automatically downclock to 100Mhz). If it is not DDR, then PC100 or PC133.

Ditto. System bus is 200MHz, which is where the AMD double FSB comes into play. It's PC100 memory.

I'll have to check a few of the PC's here. I hadn't thought of that. I figured that WCPUID was reading the RAM as being DDR; I've been in a totally DDR environment for quite some time - forgotten what WCPUID displays otherwise.

Or if you're up to opening the PC up and taking the RAM stick out and looking at it - if it has 2 notches in the contact edge, get PC100 or PC133. If it has one notch, PC2100.
An older system - yeah, I'm going to go with the popular wisdom here and say it'll be regular SDR RAM - PC100 or PC133. There...in all the editing there, I hope I didn't repeat myself.

So AMD CPU required DDR ram that had a 200MHz FSB that I recall. Especially one that's 900MHz (whether it's slot or socket, it doesn't matter).

It's not DDR. Buy the PC100.

If you know the motherboard model number just go to Crucial.com and use their memory configuring tool and it will tell you the type it takes as well as the number of banks. That will take all of the guesswork out of it.
