What questions would you like to ask Sapphire (OEM Radeon maker)

Here's your big chance! Sapphire is probably now THE biggest OEM maker of Radeon OEM video cards. Aggressive pricing too.
Order an OEM Radeon, you'll likely get one of these.

So - have any questions you'd like to OFFICIALLY ask them? 😉

Best questions will be asked in the interview I'll be conducting with them. There might also be a Sapphire product review as well.
The main topic of the interview will be something along the lines of "Is Sapphire a good, reliable brand?"
And whether or not you would be wise to purchase one.

So? FIRE AWAY! 😀
*BLAM!* There goes my chance to do the interview/review! *glub*glub*
Seems someone more official at Anandtech has the "same" idea. There'll be a Sapphire Radeon 9700 review any minute now from the official reviewers. Will they address any questions? Who knows.... I may still have a chance.

Noone????
Questions I'm thinking of: Branding of Made by ATI vs. Powered by... where do they fall in since it would appear they do BOTH.
Did they make the slow-RAM-8500LE from Crucial? WHY??
Quality vs. ATI retail product?
What convinced them to make neat VIVO products noone else makes?
Anything up their sleeve we should know about? 😉

Just a few off the top of my head.

Others???

Don't have the time now but I'll bookmark it to reply later... some of us are interested 🙂

Post a linky to the interview once it's conducted and posted...

bluemax: you know this is more incriminating evidence that you work for sapphire 😉 kidding kidding! Couldn't help it after someone else poked at the blue in another thread.

Hmmm, officially ask?

Their website only seems to list ATI products.

Has Sapphire manufactured products for other companies in the past? Do they have any plans or have they received any offers to do so in the future? Are they exclusively producing products for ATI?

They have offices in multiple countries, do they have multiple factories?

How many people does the company employ?

Do they have job openings? 😛 What kind of qualifications/experience do the current employees have?

There's a lot of detail they could add to that company profile.

To learn more about the company is the #1 aim!
And the review/interview is for Anandtech, thanks to AndyHui! 😉

"And that's a FAQ, Jack!" 😀

Excellent questions so far... keep 'em coming.

Who is SAPPHIRE?
Where are they based? How long have they been around?
What are their primary products and the market that they are aiming for?

What is it that they can bring with their RADEON products? What do they have to differentiate themselves...why should we buy from them?

Why should we choose SAPPHIRE instead of ATI?

Do they make the boards that are in ATI retail boxes? Are they concerned about the 2d quality on the boards they produce?

Ask them if they manufacter Radeon boards under PC Partner, "Do you build the "built By" boards" and have you built MOST of the radeon boards in the last 5 years?

good question would be

1. will they be using slower ram?
2. will they do stupid things like undevolt the memory to prevent overclocking? (this might be ordred by ati)
3. will they be upfront with the memory and core clock speeds ? I am tired off oem board having different core speeds
4. will they do something to there cards to prevent using ATI made drivers?

PS
I own a sapphire 9000 (non pro) works well and stable, does not overclock well though. Sticking with my 8500 for my main rig its about 20 to 25 % faster.

Peace

1. Why did they pick such a small fan for their oem radeon 9700 card?

2. Will there be a "silent" version of their cards someday, with more heatsinks and maybe even no fan?

3. What is the difference between the ATI retail cards and the Sapphire cards?
