I did not specify who was in that group, nor did I directly say anything about you. In fact your recommendation is valid. I don't care if I don't know you, that is irrelevant, but tell me, the corsiar uses nippon chemicon caps, who else uses them? Zippy. Can we not agree that this PSU is of top quality? If I'm not mistaken, PCP&C uses teapo caps. Let's talk price. The corsiar is $190 while the galaxy is $350 and the turbocool is $500. If we can infer that all psus are more than sufficiant, why would you spend almost 3 times the $$$ on a psu when it could be better used elsewhere? Please point out to me where spending the xtra $320 is worth it. I'm not insulting you I just don't get it.
EDIT: Are you refering to my recommendation of the Corsiar b/c it certainly wasn't obeyed. Go to extreme.outervision.com and you'll find that his rig will use 560w of power, and 42 amps on the 12v rails (approx.) How is that not enough when the corsiar has 620w and peak 50amps on the 12v rails?
actually you can infer whatever you want. Your dwelling on what caps a certain brand us yet i do not se the supposed use of TEAPO Caps to be an issue...
I can take you to badcaps.com where I posed several questions concerning PC Power & Cooling and the consensus as is the consesus on these forums are that PC Power & Cooling`s track record speaks for itself. The question I posed on Badcaps.com was if Teapo Caps are so bad then why does PC Power & Cooling whicu supposedly uses TEAPO Caps...note--I say supposedly because nobody in the last couple of years has taken one apart.....there has been a rumor even spouted at badcaps.com that PC Power & Cooling was getting away from using TEAPO Caps.
Also mote as was suggested on Bacaps.com TEAPo caps seems to have more of an issue with going bad on mobo`s than they do in PSU`s.
Ok...we can say that Corsair is on the right path...yet tell me this...
When was the quality of a PSU determined solely by the quality of Caps used?
Again I would put any of my PC Power & Cooling up against the Corsair brand now and in 5 years.....including my 1K PSU!!!
Also I have never ever heard it said that Corsair PSU`s stand on there track record....
But we both can agree that Corsair is taking the highroad and for all intent and purposes is doing things correct!!
Finally there are many good PSU`s on the market...be they Enermax or Seasonis or Zippy or Enhance or PC Power & Cooling...
What Zippy and Enhance and PC Power & Cooling have is a reputation that speaks for itself!!
Seasonic as well as Enermax are also almost right there reputation wise.
Whose next? Possibly Corsair only time will tell!!
As I stated lets wait 5 years down the line and see whos still around....
