Anything over 400W should be enough... If you want to be safe, go for at least a 450W PSU and you should be fine... You can see in my sig what's being powered by an Antec 480W NeoPower PSU...

safest bets are Enermax, Antec amd OCZ. Other brands that are good based on people here are Fortron and Tagan. I personally went for a middle of the road PSU and got a Thermaltake 480watt for $50. Not the best, but definitly good for me.

As for size, 400 watt or better is good, though make sure there is at least 18a on the 12v.

Any idea's which one i should get ? there are a few topics iv been reading. Tagan and Enermax seem to be the good makes with OCZ. Was looking at

Tagan 420W - http://www.planetmicro.co.uk/p...&stockcode=M003979

Enermax noisetakes - http://www.scan.co.uk/Products...sp?WebProductID=143947

Thermaltake silent purepower PSU - http://overclock.co.uk/custome...ct.php?productid=17612

Antec trupower 480 - http://www.bargainbuys365.co.u...1333&refId=froogle

any other suggestions will be welcome!!

I've used both the thermaltake and Antec PSU's before. While I've not had issues with the thermaltake, I tend to trust the Antec PSU's more. Since I've not [personally] used the other two brands I really can't comment on how reliable they will be.

I would suggest looking them all up on their manufacturer's web sites and compare amps on the 12V lines/rails.

Personally, I would go with one that's at least 480W for future growth and hardware demands... Who really knows what you'll want to install in a year (new video card perhaps?) that will want more power than you have. At that point, you'll kick yourself for not getting the larger PSU when you built the system.

The Antec unit puts out 28A on the 12V rail wile the Tt unit only puts out 22A on the 12V rail. If you want to 'future proof' your PSU, get the most amps possible... The NeoPower 480W unit I have produces 33A between the two 12V rails (18A on one, 15A on the other)... Maybe that's why it doesn't give me any issues with all that I have running on it...

My fortron 500w blue storm is fine. I had some questions about it, but the good people here answered them for me.

Combined, the 2 rails have 30A on the 12v rails combines, is very quiet, pushes quite a bit of air, and has fully sleaved cables.

Under load or off load, my montherboard says i have 11.71 no matter what, and that is well within specs.
