what psu is enough for this

Im gonna buy 2 new grapphicscards
amd 7870 2x crossfire

now i dont have an idea how much wattage i must pick the men from the store says i need 850 atleast but i think its way to much

my pc setup is

intel i5 3450
2x 4gb 1333mhz ram memory
asustek p8h77-v LE motherbord
500gb western digital hd scorpio blue
im using 4 120mm fans with led
i dont use a dvd thing( id od everything with usb

i was more thinking

Your motherboard doesn't fully support 7870 crossfire.

Get a single faster graphics card, like a 7970. With 7870 Crossfire and a PSU, your budget seems to be at least 500 eur, easily enough for a 7970 and a high quality 500 watt PSU.

What resolution do you play at? What's your current GPU and PSU? Where are you buying from, can you link to the site please?

To answer your question directly: 7870 crossfire requires four six-pin PCIe power connectors. Any power supply from a reliable manufacturer with the necessary connectors is more than adequate. Usually that means 750 watts, but some 650w units also have four connectors. MS-Tech I've never heard of and Tagan I know is not very good.

get a 7970.

the mobo you picked won't work with 2 cards and the psu's you picked are not that good. the 2 ms tech psu units are for one card. the tagan is multi rail design. very old fashioned and not preferred.

Yes it will but the second card will be forced to PCIe 2.0 x4 mode

That's a bit overkill, 500 watts is good for a 7970 especially in a system that only has an i5-3450; of course, as long as the unit has the necessary PCIe power connector pin configuration

3. NVIDIA cards are better in WOW, as far as I know (don't play it myself). Maybe an MSI 660 Ti PE/OC 300€. With OC considered, the 7950 is probably faster regardless

According to this it seems that 7950 would be required to keep 60 fps at 8xaa in Mists of Pandaria, assuming no cpu bottleneck ;P

It shows the 6950 gets 43 min, 54 avg. Would need 7950 for 50+ min, 60 avg.
