What PSU is compatible with P182?

I am using my P182 for a media server. I will be using old parts. Around the AMD Athlon 3000+ range w/ Integrated graphics. It won't need that much power, but I want to route cables behind the mobo rack. I don't intend to spend $100 for a PSU, but it seems I might have to. Any recommendations?

AthlonXPs usually take a 20 pin PSU so you'll end up finding a PSU that has 20+4 pins on the main mobo power cable as well as maybe a 4 pin P4 style connector for the CPU. I'd say you should just go for a Fortron/Sparkle or an Antec Earthwatts.

YGPM again.

I'm using a Seasonic S12II 380w PSU in my P182 and I have no problems with cable length.
The 4-pin ATX12V just reaches the mobo connector for me routed behind and over the top of the case.
The 380w being one of the smaller units has shorter cable lengths but again, I have no problems with it.

Edit:
FWIW My old Athlon XP 2600+ rig used a 350w just fine, and that was with a discrete graphics card (Radeon 9800 Pro), with onboard you can probably get away with 300w or less.

Thanks, I know i can use a 300w for this rig, but because of the HUGE case that requires cable routing... I am not sure if 300w will be able to supply the lengths.

edit: someone mentioned earth watts.

How does this baby sound? Reviews say the cables are lonnggg. Any confirmation that it will be long enough even after routing behind the mobo rack?

That PSU will be enough for pretty much anything you'll want to do with an AthlonXP build. From the looks of the cables and from my somewhat familiarity with the Antec P180 cases, I don't think you'll be able to route it from the back but I'm certain you'll be able to reach everything.

According to this article from SPCR, measurements for my PSU are:
* 20" cable for main 20+4-pin ATX connector
* 20" cable for 2x12V AUX12V
* 20" cable for 6-pin PCIe connector
* 20" cable with two SATA drive connectors
* 24" cable with two SATA drive connectors
* 22" cable with three 4-pin IDE connectors
* 26" cable with three 4-pin IDE connectors

As long as your PSU's cable lengths are longer than this you will have no problems with routing the cables around the back, although the 20" 2x12V auxiliary connector will be stretched a bit. As far as cable routing goes, it's a feature but it's not a necessity for you to follow it, there is an opening between the upper and lower chambers for you to route cables directly within the case if you wish, but it kind of defeats most of the point in getting a P182.
