Here is the system im building

ASUS p5ad2 premium motherboard
intel 550 3.4 ghz cpu
4 250 gig western digital 7200 rpm HD's
2 36 gig western digital 10k rpm HD's
pioneer dual layer 16x dvd burner
1 gig xms 667mhz memory (2x512)
thermaltake dream tower....

my question is what psu will support this? will i have to buy more power connectors?

Shoot i posted this in the wrong forum... sorry

I'm personally waiting for my OCZ one to come it. Since my neopower was a defect one. But make sure that if you get the OCZ, you remove the top panel connectors first. The tsunami cases have small areas for the PSU and the OCZ ones are a bit bigger then normal sizes.

Whats wrong with you? your hard drives are about 30 watts each, And the 36 i assume are raptors which have improved Ata standards, so there 30 also.
My calculations
Ram 24 watts
HD 80>100
mobo and stuff>60 watts
chip 100 watts.

You would need atleast a 330 watt
But you could pull it off with a 300 watt with dual rails.
