what PSU for AMD XP1600?

was just wondering, since the new AMD chips use 20% less power, could I get away with a 250w amd *approved* power supply i got?

I really like the case and the psu (its quiet)

You could give it a try but I don't think I'd go below a 300W. Check over in the for sale forum, there are several people selling Antec 300W power supplies for cheap (around $30 shipped).
