What PS2 game should I get at Best Buy?

if you like soccer games, get winning eleven 7... that masters mode is ADDICTIVE...

if you like racing, wait for GT4 to come out

like GTA? the new one is coming out

new metal gear is coming out too

if you like RPG, i think there is a new one too...
 
Well, depending on how much you like FFX, there is always FFX-2; though I'm sure some people would recommend against it. Its not quite as good, but it is much more nonlinear in gameplay than FFX. Some people find it childish, but have you tried Kingdom Hearts? (I'm 23, but still thought it was great).

Check out the community forums on gamespot.com; the guys there should give you a lot of suggestions on RPGs. Also, check out some of the greatest hits titles if you are interested in other genres... there are a TON of great games for the PS2 for only $20 (i.e. Gran Turismo 3, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid 2, Tony Hawk 4, Splinter Cell, Soul Calibur 2, etc...).
 
If your looking for RPG's, then check out Breath of Fire : Dragon Quarter. Most underappreciated RPG of the last year.
 
Sega Sports Tennis. Awesome game on the Dreamcast as well.

For RPG's Xenosaga was pretty good. Haven't touched my PS2 in a while.
 
pick up Xenosaga. it's under $20, and it's a fantastic RPG.

also look for Suikoden 3. graphics are a little PS1-ish, but it's an awesome game. I beat it last week... gameplay time was over 60 hours, and I spent very little time on side-quests/leveling up
 
If you like FFX, I guess get FFX:2, its similar, but some things are different, it's still good, just not like FFX (which was incredible). Otherwise, get Jak and Daxter (1 if you havent played it yet, 2 if you playd the first).
