what proof is required for upgrader rebates on AntiVirus software?

What do you have to supply as proof of previous version ownership when submitting an upgrader/crossgrader rebate on McAfee or Norton Antivirus software?

I just found one from a REALLY OLD Norton Antivirus box. That is all I have left (no cd or manual) Hmm

Read the rebate form redly, upgrade-rebates usually specify which previous version the rebate is valid for
