What project needs the most help?

I'm starting to get to that "bored" stage with DC again, and I need to find something to fan the interest again.

I want to do a project that can be easily set up and set to run in the background. NO screen savers or any crap like that. I would love to run lifemapper, but there's no CLI as far as I know.

It also must be STABLE and dual cpu capable would be nice. I don't want to have to babysit the client.

So here's your chance to sell me on a project.

Just turn the screen saver turned off in Life mapper, set it to run in background mode, is similar to Seti Cli, except it uses a browser window to display results instead of using a second program, such as Seti Driver. The only drawback is you can't cache WU's, at least that I can see.

Ofcourse you must know this already.

Well, I have a 1600+ @2200+ and a 1900+ dually sitting here at my disposal.

I could also probly assimilate my roomate's 2000+, but I may leave that on SoB

ecc2. I'm currently at the top of the daily list, and that's pretty sad. (probably a glitch or a hiccup or something 😛)

Choose the one that best matches your interests and processing power. 😀

agreed🙂

Fold@Home is nice too. Pretty easy to set up, you can run as service. Don't need much attention, pretty much stable, I dare say.

TA F@H could use help, but there are also smaller projects that could possibly use your help more. It depends on what you're interested in, so look around. If F@H doesn't feel like the right thing for you, consider DPAD, or ECC2, or a little of both. Those TeAms (especially DPAD, that's the only one I know anything about) could really use some help, and even a little CPU time makes a big difference. 🙂
