Hey there...i'm doing a little test on my case fans and stuff and need a program that heats cpu temps...
anyone know of a prog that heats of cpu temps?
i need something to heat my cpu to 50 and higher
i ran cpu burn-in and seti@home and 3dmark at the same time...
using MBM5 i get a temp of 44 ...(idle 28C) and ambient of 24 (idle 22C)
any progs you guys know of that will increase the temp any higher?

Thanks...

usually games like quake3 and UT heat up the cpu a lot. also try rc5. either should work fine, the games will also stress the video card, giving off a little more heat.

quake runs the cpu temp to 44 only...
what's rc5? where can i get it?

where can i get those duron600 for 45 shipped?

RC5 is also a distributed.net project/contest similar to SETI@Home...

A program I found that works really well is cpuburn : http://users.ev1.net/~redelm/ not sure if this is the same one your referring to.

Also if you really want to push it, a technique I've found that works well is to up the ambient temp. If your case is open, take a hair dryer and start blowing hot air towards the cpu. Or if the case is closed blow the hot air into the intake fans.

I was able to push my normally sub 40C degree cpu to 78C before it crashed, so I know my cooling works pretty good.
