My friend is having problems taking screenshots from her DVDs on her PC. She says they come back as black images. At this time, i do not know what software she is currently using to view her DVDs.

I know PowerDVD can take ss's from DVD's, but do you guys know any other programs that can do that as well? Preferably free and easy to use? ;)

TIA

it doesnt matter what program he or she uses, its a windows thing, it just copies the screen buffer memory, she must be doing something wrong because i have done this many times. (with powerdvd no less)

"You can't use the Print Screen button to capture DVD screen shots. When you play a DVD in Windows, Windows doesn't really know that a DVD is playing. The video is playing in a video overlay, which plays on top of Windows"

It was PoverDVD that allowed you to do it
