What Program?

In movies you always see people enhancing a picture I was wondering does anyone know what program that will do this?

Thanks

Photoshop can do anything that the inhouse tools can, they just help speed up the process by automating certain functions. Things get a bit more complicated when it comes to video enhancement, but even the majority of it can be carried out with a basic NLE and enough time.

Also keep in mind that these are movies. I watch CSI, and they do fingerprint analysis/matching in about 30 seconds -- not so much in real life. If you have a blurry, low-res digital photo or video capture, you can't magically make it sharp and detailed by pushing a button.

Well in the movie they're using a computer and you see it on the computer screen, they must have some program to do it, it's not like hollywood is full of computer geeks that make write their own programs... Oh wait, it is.

To a point you can enhance a picture, but it's not like you can magnify a blur on the edge of an image taken from a low resolution webcam and turn it into a fly on the wall with a dab of white paint on one leg.

LOL, these types of things crack me up. On one of the only times I've watched CSI (literally), they had this guy retrieving data from a hard drive in a NORMAL ROOM while this snazzy 3D animation of the heads moving across the platters played on a monitor in front of him. Priceless 😛 Whoever writes these things isn't a geek, that's for sure!
