What program to use for formatting a blank drive?

I recently did a minor upgrade to my gaming PC and one of the upgrades was a WD Green 2TB drive.

Unfortunately I did not have the foresight to connect it to my Mac to format using Disk Utility so now it's unformatted (and as it doesn't have a partition (just unallocated space), it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer.

Is there a utility that I can use to format the drive?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, and it comes with Windows. From the Start Menu, right click Computer, and select Manage. From the left column, select Disk Management under Storage. Right-click your new drive and Select Format. It should also give you the option to assign a drive letter.

BTW, this works in Windows 7. You should still be able to do this in 8, but you will need probably need to go through the Control Panel.
