what program to test memory?

what do you guys use to stress test ram to make sure it is working 100%? i have several ram sticks of questionable quality and i want to test them out, but have no idea how, other than to put them in my machine and see if it crashes, but i don't think that's good enough. so what do you guys use? preferable a small free program
