So I use intervideo winDVD player to play my movies and I was wondering what program should I use to take a screen shot. I got SnagIt and whatever I try I get a black screen.

I know your supposed to go to desktop>right click>properties>setting>advanced and then disable the hardware accelaration but then I can't take the screen shot. Any help is welcome :).

I use "print screen" which is built into every keyboard. Then paste it into gimp.

Seriously though, I don't know why you'd be getting a black screen. It sounds right.

PowerDVD can take snapshots.
Media Player can take them if you press CTRL+i (I think it works with most media player versions)

Agree about PowerDVD. It has a little camera icon for snapping a shot. It works best when you pause first on the exact frame you want.
