I used to use Limewire, for some reason it won't let me drag and drop songs to Itunes anymore so I am through with that.

Any recommendations on what to use? Iphone users?

Thanks :)

iTunes and Amazon.

I would go this route, the only problem being that I want a lot of music and don't feel like spending $200+ in order to load up on songs to listen to.

Get a service like Rhapsody or something. Pay a monthly service fee and download all you want.

You should also have a read of the TOC of the forums too.

I'll quote myself for the people that seem to think I am discussing illegal downloading.

I was looking for a service sort of like what someone posted above. Something like a pay per month download all you want deal. I have heard about newsgroups or something like that, you can get movies and songs, pretty much everything. Is this true? How does it work?

Downloading copyrighted files from newsgroups is illegal as well. As onlyCOpunk suggested, Rhapsody is probably your best *legal* choice if you would rather pay a flat rate to download as much as you want, as opposed to paying per song. Keep in mind that these files have digital rights management, though, and when you stop paying for the service, the files stop playing. This is why I prefer services like Amazon where you can buy the songs and do whatever you want with them (actually, I prefer CDs, but Amazon is about the best IMO for MP3 downloads).

I had heard newsgroups discussed it OT before so I assumed it was legal. Thanks for the heads up. I will check out Amazon or maybe just go the itunes route.
