What program created this disaster recovery cd?

Friend has some cds that he backed up data to about a year ago. Now that he needs to restore them he has no idea what software he used. The only file seen on the cds is a README.TXT file. He was running Windows ME at the time.

The README.TXT file reads:

====================
Disaster Recovery CD
====================

This is a disaster recovery CD.

Except for this file the contents of this disc must be
accessed using your disaster recovery software.

Thats the problem there are no other files, supposedly the proper restore program can see files that can not be seen by Windows Explorer.

My HP CD-Writer + (4x2x20x) came with HP recovery disc software. Also, Compaq uses Powerquest software on their's, but it restores the image found on the 2nd partition instead of one from the CD. You can use Ghost by memorizing the commandline syntax and including a batch file called from the autoexec.bat on the boot disk you use to make the CD bootable. You can make a menu and everything 😀
