Well it comes with a 1600+ stock, I'd like to go to a 24-2600+, any ideas on what will work? Any idea where I can find out?

Is there any way you can monitor temperatures? The CPU cooling it has now may not be good enough for the higher clocker processors. Also, the bios of that laptop might not recognize other processors.

It seems the "new" 3200 Series uses the 2200+ if that is helpful at all.

hmm... is there any place that i can find out the heat output of the xp-m 1600+? i bet it's not less than the 35 watts of the 2200+ or 2400+ processors...
