Dear All,
I've been reading these information about difference in processor but I am bit overwhelmed with all variation and since I need to make decision fast though I need to ask some opinion of yours.
I'm looking for what will be the best processor to use for Groovy web application. I might install open source web server like Tomcat(Java VM), database using postgres. Current pilot user only 5 users. Any of you have experience you could share for this type of web apps ?
Last time I test visually core 2 quad really scales well with the apps compared to core 2 duo. But looking at the new I5 I am tempted to just skip the older core and use this instead.
This is the motherboard I might choose if I use I5 route:
ECS P55H-A
and this is motherboard I use for core 2 quad:
GIGABYTE GA-P43-UD3L
Also do you know any benchmark comparing Xeon with these processors ? I know its like comparing 2 different things, but just curious how big is the different in number.
Thanks in advance. Best Regards,
Joni
