What premium channels should I get for cable?

Roommate and I are going to get HBO (like 7 channels)... costs 12.95

Other options:
HBO plus all cinemax's(another 8 channels) costs like 21.95
HBO plus showtime(6 I think) and TMC(2 channels) costs 30.95
HBO plus Show/Cinemax costs 35.95

what is worth getting? I am thinking of going with the 21.95 option.... any advice?

I just canceled HBO because we didn't really watch it that much.

Also canceled Starz!

It was like 22 bucks a month and I really didn't watch them enough.

I just faced the same question.

They finally lowered the rates enough to where digital cable was now cheaper than our regular expanded basic. The first level package allowed you to either get 3 or 4 HBOs or something like 15-20 other channels featuring a combination of extra ESPNs, Discovery Channels, History Channels, Biography Channel, etc. It was a no-brainer for me since that's exactly the type of stuff I watch anyway. Even when I had HBO in college I never watched it all that much (and that was when they still actually showed mostly movies on the main channel.) So I guess I'll have to miss out on all the inside Sopranos and Sex and the City jokes. But I couldn't care less.

My friend has every channel under the sun, but he was saying the best one for movies in his opinion was the Showtime followed by Cinemax channels.

We have 14 Digital HBO's on my cable system for $9 a month. I love it, well worth it. My dad wont let us get HBO on demand, its another $6 more a month, I think it would be sweet to at least try it out.

I didnt really like any other premium channels besides HBO.
