What Power Supply wattage would you recommend?

I bought a case real cheap from newegg and it came with a 400 watt PS. The case is HERE.

I've been reading about how you get what you pay for in regards to power supplies and it has me a little freaked out. Do you think this powersupply will cut it with the following system or should i get a new one? If you recomend a new one, what wattage will work with my setup? I'm on a tight budget so i would want to get just slighly over what i would need to run the following:

Intel LGA 775 Pentium 4 540 3.2 GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache w/ Hyper Threading Technology - Retail
Corsair Value Select (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 512MBx2 DDR PC-3200
ECS "915P-A (1.0)" 915P Chipset Motherboard For Intel LGA 775 CPU -RETAIL
Hitachi 160GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model HDS722516VLSA80
Samsung Black 52X32X52X16 DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
Gigabyte 6600GT PCI-e vid card.

As always, thanks!

That power supply MIGHT last, then again, with paying so little for the case and PSU I wouldn't bank on it. Better off getting a PSU from a reliable maker and either ditch that one or have it in reserve 'just in case'... OR, sell it to someone you know that needs a cheap PSU for some reason.

Personally, I wouldn't use that PSU any longer than it takes to get it's replacement. Especially if you're dumping good money into your system, AND can't afford to replace more parts when the PSU dies and takes something with it (like the mobo, hard drive, optical drive, or more).

As in you allready have it? If you don't have it yet cancel it, if you do send it back.... I don't really think you'll want to using either the case or PSU when you can get a quality Antec or InWin for not much more.

Powmax is junk (case and PSU) I woudn't trust anything it with let alone your brand new hardware.

Ok, thanks for the replies. So a 350 watt power supply should be enough to power this pretty well?

350 should be fine but a decent quality 400 or higher from Enermax, Antec, or some others would give you some future room to expand without having to replace the PSU. Plus you will have the peace of mind knowing that your PSU won't blow up and kill everything in your case.

I'm basically looking to spend under 50 bucks if i possibly can. Any recomendations would be appreciated. Also, i'm trying to educate my self on the power supply jargon. What should i be looking for to determine if one is better than another? I see "output" category above but its all greek to me. What are the best numbers to look for?

My new hardware thanks you for your replies!
