What power supply should I buy for overclocking?

I asked a some questions and got some answers in this thread. My PC is still shutting off out of the blue, so I'd like to try a new power supply and see if that clears up the problem. So, what power supply is a good one? I thought I bought a good one, but apparantly not. :) Any suggestions? The cheaper the better, but I don't mind spending a few bucks for something that is worth it.

Thanks again for any help.

Dfi Infinity Nforce 2
Mobile Barton 2500+
Two hard drives
One, but possibly two optical drives
GeForce 6800 nu Rivatuned to 16/6 380/750
Fans, lights, etc.

Running 133 x 14 (stock speed) results in complete stability. CPU is at 1.5 volts or so.
Running 200 x 11 and it runs for a while then just shuts itself off. So I'd like to try a new power supply to see if the problem clears up, or atleast rule that out. CPU would be running 1.75-1.8ish volts at this speed.

Thanks.

Any others? This is going in an acrylic case, so I'd like to have something that looks nice as well. Any brands that are better then others? Thanks.

A OCZ power stream from 420watts, to 470 to 520 all look good...

I would get a bigger PSU then that..think future a bit and not having to buy a new PSU every upgrade...The 460watt Whiper II Eenermax is nice with a 33A 12v rail.....

I like the oCZs...I think the 420 is like 26A but dont qoute me but you have the adjustable screws on the back if the rails need adjusting...they also look nicer then the example above an dat least I know mine emits a cool green coloer light...

Actually, the ultra-high end few would say that Top of the Line PSU's are PC P & C's.

True with seasonics and OCZ below that....

Then comes enermaxes and antecs being better then average and solid performers...

Actually we are talking about an Athlon XP 2500+ where almost every 300W Generic is more then enough. He wanted something what looks nice, the Ultra X-Connect Series looks nice. Unfortunately not for 30 - 40 Dollar no more since the Mail in Rebate is gone, but for his needs more then enough, the OCZ 600W is my favorite just a little bid to high in the price but that what you get if you want some quality stuff.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817193004 that is a cheap suggestion and i guess will last him a while.

You generalised with "overclockers"...

I would not recommend the above power supply. This is when, "You get what you pay for." comes into play. Any good PSU with solid 12V rails will cost >60$ and performance PSUs will run you >110$.

The Aspire unit I have is supposed to have 34 amps on the 12 volt rail, but maybe it's over rated. Has anyone used the Ultra X Connects? They look nice, but I haven't heard anyone say if they work ok. Otherwise I'll be looking at an OCZ or Antec. Thanks.

i have an ultra x-connect...ive heard that its bad, but for me and other people here, its fine for us.

OCZ modstream is nice, PC power and cooling, but that might be a tad bit expensive, and you might not want black...heh heh.
