What possibly happened here?

Nikon D7100. Corrupted files? Need to format? 2 shots out of 51 like this.

That's kind of interesting. I had one shot off a D810 that did something similar. It was indoor with flash, and the top 1/3 of the image was blown out, the bottom half IIRC was under exposed. I'll look at it again.

Though the bottom one just looks like something was omitted.
 
Firmware on the camera up to date? Likely time for a new memory card if so. I've not seen file corruption like that before. I had issues on my D810 with raw files turning up as 0 bytes in size and losing multiple files that way, but a new memory card fixed that.

Got the camera as a refurb about 3 months ago, so I hope the firmware is updated. Will have to check.
