WHAT PORTS DO I NEED FOR mIRC?

what ports do i need to forward to get this stupid thing to work...with DCC...trying to dl files..but am i missing something here?

any help would be appreciated...

i have Road Runner w/ Dlink Router

i have a linksys router, but i think the ports should be the same... here's an exerpt from a discussion on deja.net.

not exactly the same, but it should be similar anyway... hope this helps


Linksys Router Setup

1) Open Router Setup Page via browser using http://192.168.1.1 address:

2) Setup Tab:
a. Host Name: (leave blank)
b. Domain Name: (leave blank)

3) Advanced/Filters Tab:
a. Block WAN Request: Disable

4) Advanced/Forwarding Tab:
a. Service Port Range IP Address
b. 113~113 192.168.1.100
c. 3337~3340 192.168.1.100






mIRC Setup

1) File/Options/Connect/Options:
a. Default Server Port: 3337

2) File/Options/Connect/Local Info:
a. On connect, always get: IP Address
b. Lookup method: Server

3) File/Options/Connect/Ident:
a. Enable Ident server: Checked
b. Port: 113
c. Show ident requests: Checked
d. Enable only when connecting: Checked

4) File/Options/Connect/Firewall:
a. Use Firewall: Unchecked
b. Protocol: Proxy
c. Hostname: (blank)
d. User ID: (blank)
e. Password: (blank)
f. Port: 3337
g. Initiate DCCs through firewall: Checked

5) File/Options/IRC/Perform:
a. On connect, perform these commands: Checked
b. /localinfo -u

6) File/Options/DCC/Options:
a. DCC Ports: First=3337 Last=3340
b. Max. remotely requested DCC sends: 4
