What portable MP3 player plays the raido too?

I want a mp3 player like the Nomad, but that allows you to listen to the radio too.
Is there such a beast? If so what's it called?

Yes. The Nomad II MG and the Nomad II both have an FM tuner built in. Links to features. I just got a Nomad IIc, which does not have FM tuner. I love my Nomad IIc, has 64 megs onboard and can handle up to 128 meg Smartmedia cards!!! Pretty damn cool!!! Hope that helps.

Riovolt or Iriver 250 if you esnt to go cd based, which in my opinion is the way to go when cdr media is just dirt cheap.

i bought the nomad ii mg about a year ago and it is still one of the best mp3 players. it has the 64mb onboard and can hold a 128 smarymedia and has up to 50+ spots for you to save ur radio station and is also capable of digital recording through the mic and from the radio. i beleive its 175 now at buy.com

PC_Freak, my vote would be the Nomad II, small size and good battery life. BTW, since I haven't seen this mentioned yet, the Nomad only has a FM tuner. Yeah, I know 99.99% of people might not listen to AM, but I just want to keep you informed.
