so i've been trying tons and tons of software to try to get my webcam to stream on my website. they all fail and I have no idea what the problem is.

the only thing I know is that since I am on a router or firewall, I need to manually enter my port and ip adress.

I looked up my ip, and got that.

what about port? how do I figure that out?

the default on all the webcam software is 80 or 8000, so I left it at that because I dont know what it is.

so maybe that is the problem. Is there a way to figure out what port I should enter?

is 80 or 8000 correct?

80 is the HTTP port usually.
I would manually set the port in the webcam software, and open/forward the same port to your ip on the router.
