I would say the most politically correct trend I hate would be the lack of free speech I am offered. I do speeches often and I hate how my teacher pulls me out of the room every time I give a speech. I talk about the most uncomfortable things that no one likes to talk about. I sometimes talk about how slavery benefited the United States, Philosophical reasoning on how society as a whole is gang of thugs who rely on the power of the mob to settle the most pressing issues, and how peace and an empty consciousness can make life a hundred (100) times easier because your brain is in an empty space (like darkness all around) that will pull any information within your brain that you think of (since your most pressing worries are settled and nothing is at all on your mind). I am only in high school and I feel like I am in a wasteland of bad opportunity.

School is runned by Totalitarian figureheads; no free speech and censorship is required :(

If you think slavery was good for the country you can say it all you like but people will justifibly (sp?) call you a moron

..people forget slavery is a world wide phenomenon and was in place long before slaves were brought to the US. Slave auctions still take place in Kahatoum. Slavery was outlawed in Saudi Arabia in the 70's but isn't inforced..many of the present day slaves end up in the middle east. I've never heard jackson or sharpton address the present day slavery problem.

It works exactly like the yellow pages, except all of the business owners are Asian. If I had developed a book "The Caucasian Pages", I would have all sorts of racist comments thrown my way. I dunno if that falls under the same category as PC, but either way, it sucks.

Can't they just leave it named the Yellow Pages? ba-dum-ching!

No idea if it'd be considered PC or not, but I hate it when people ask me what my "background" is, or nationality or whatever.

As far as I'm concerned, if you were born in the United States of America, you're American. If you were born in Canada, you're Canadian. If you want to call yourself African-American or Chinese-American, whatever, but all you're doing is drawing a distinction between yourself and those that call themselves Americans.

Someone asks me where I'm from and I say "America". Then they say "No no, like where's your family from?", and I go "Oh, New Jersey then." I have to go back like 6 generations to find someone that wasn't born in this country, and by now there's so much mixed in I'm mostly just a mutt mix of most of Western Europe.

Most of the rest of the PC crap annoys me too though, that's just one of my bigger pet peeves.

Well, realizing the fact that the US has a huge immigrant population that may struggle with English, it doesn't seem far fetched to have a language based phone directory. It's not like American businesses can't advertise in it, it's the fact that Asians are generally not their target market. There probably wouldn't be much uproar about a European Pages. Wouldn't a Caucasian Pages be the equivalent of the current Yellow Pages? What language would the advertisements inside be? Would it be the equivalent of the European Pages since the point of these extra directories is to assist people who aren't fluent with English?

Yeah, that annoys me too, because there is no simple way to distinguish between southeast Asians and Asians from the Indian subcontinent.

well there actually is... aren't indians "south asians"?

Indians need to qualify themselves as 'South Asians' or 'Desi' since the word 'Asian' has now been reserved exclusively for those previously called 'Orientals' lol @ pc run amok.

I hate not being able to mimic another culture's accent without offending someone who isn't even from that culture.

Yeah it sucks that my people are not recognized. I always put other whenever I fill out a form.

I might as well be Madagascarian.
