I changed places to bars because I didn't realize that there were people who might think i was talking about boy scout camp when I said "calling it a night so early". Thanks for letting me know!
 
everything is boston closes at 2. i have not heard of a "late night" place yet, unless you personally know the owners/managers of the places who let you hang out while they close up.

There are a couple of after-hours places but you generally need passes (you need to know someone who knows someone) and they don't serve alcohol. Sunrise is one (or used to be).
