image formats are generally universal.
JPG/GIF/TIFF/PIC/PCX/BMP/etc.. are all readable by both platforms.

JPG and GIF are the most common and compatible though.

Every image format opens in some program on a mac. Are you specifically concerned with what formats iMovie supports?

I mean, photoshop opens about a trillion different image formats, and yes, it runs on both mac OS and Windows. Of course, not necessarily all of those formats are supported in iMovie.

just about anythign will open on mac,
i would stick to the internet standard - gif, jpg. You can also go with tiff if you need something w/o compression

I didn't know iMovie had to specifically support file formats! Anyways, which file formats does it support?

And sorry for the "yelling," it's just the enunciation habit :p
