What phone to get?

I’m a Sprint customer and am entitled to get a new phone on September 1. Due to my IT job and the techy people I am in contact with, I need to have an impressive phone. Most of my friends have the iphone 5, and are all talking about upgrading to the iphone 6 very soon. Should I wait for the iphone 6 or perhaps the Samsung Galaxy S5 which should be released around Christmas time? Are there any other hot phones I might be missing?

Galaxy S5 will not be out for Christmas...
iPhone 5s will be...
New Nexus (not for Sprint though)
Maybe LG G2 (if it comes to Sprint)
Or HTC One Max or Note 3 if they come to Sprint.

Otherwise the usual S4 / HTC One...
