What phone OS is the fastest/simplest?

Since I broke my G2, and you good people have suggested waiting until the G2x comes out, I will have to use my crappy Moto Cliq. What a POS! Can I change the OS to make the thing work better?

You can't change the OS on it. You can use new ROMs but no you can't use a different OS on your Cliq.

It could speed it but it it's an older phone so the speed improvements might be marginal. You'd have to check out specific Cliq forums for ROMs as it doesn't seem too many people here have that phone.

You need to ask around at more specific CLIQ forums, though I'm not sure if there's a CLIQ subforum at XDA.

In the interim, I'd make a backup of anything you want to keep on the SD card/internal storage. Then, format the SD card. And then factory reset the CLIQ.

Nope. It's similar, but then again all of HTC's high-end phones look almost identical.

Supposedly it has 768MB RAM and a 800x480 screen, vs. the Evo 3D's 1GB RAM and 960x540 screen. Also the pyramid will supposedly ship with Android 2.4. And of course, no 3D screen that I'm aware of.

I thought the Pyramid was a qHD screen as well.

Try using Launcher Pro or ADW Launcher. They are home screen replacements available on the Market.

These won't speed up your phone in terms of actual processor speed or anything, but once you tweak the settings the phone should feel "faster" when moving around your home screens or switching between different tasks. They have the added benefit of being very customizable.

The speed cant be as bad as my old Behold 2. That thing is slow even with nothing on it.
