What percentage of obscure references in Family Guy do you understand?

I was proud of myself for getting some of the jokes like the Mr. Peabody one or the Tuesdays With Morrie quote, but some of these just leave me thinking WTF?

I'd say I probably get about 70% of the random references on Family Guy. Is there anyone who gets them ALL?

I have an extremely good memory, so once I see the show I get the references. I've only seen like 15-20 episodes, so I usually get the references from those shows.

I would say most of it. The creator, Seth McFarlane, is only in his mid-twenties. So the references he makes are basically related to our generation...so it's pretty easy to get most of the time.

I think I get a lot of them...I laugh about a lot of stuff while friends sit there with a look on their face like, "should I laugh, or is he just an idiot?"

haha yeah I find that I laugh at a lot of them that other people don't understand and they look at me weird.

I think the cool thing about is that you can still really enjoy the show even if you only get 50% of the jokes.

I get most of the jokes, just not when when they name drop old celebrities.
