Hello,

I am going to install the following cards in my ASUSA A7V133. Too bad in only has 5 PCI Slots.

SB Live PLatinum
Linksys NIC
PCI 56K Modem
PCI SCSI Adaoter Adaptec 2940+

I am trying to figure out how I am going to be able to plug all of those in with the least IRQ sharing conflicts.

Thanks

Most modern boards have the AGP and PCI 1 slots sharing resources, I normally skip PCI 1 for this reason. Check your mobo manual for resource info specific to it. My choice would be:

PCI 1 - empty
PCI 2 - NIC
PCI 3 - SOUND
PCI 4 - MODEM (usu 2 and 4 share some resources but only 1 of these devices is likely used at a time)
PCI 5 - SCSI

Good Luck! :D

Note: sometimes scsi controllers are funky, it may need PCI 2.

Here's how I set it up in my box:

PCI 1 - empty
PCI 2 - empty
PCI 3 - SB Live
PCI 4 - 2940UW SCSI
PCI 5 - 3 Com NIC
