what pci card has the performance equivalent of a tnt2 m64?

so between the voodoo3 and a rage128, which one would be better for win2000? the pc will primarily be used for websurfing, and maybe sim games.

I didn't know the TNT2-M64 had any performance to start with ... seriously, any halfway modern PCI card like the few Radeon 7500 and 9000 PCI cards in the market run circles around it, both in 2D and 3D.

i agree. but the problem is, i am looking for a really low cost solution

Those Radeon cards usually go well below $100, and you should be able to get a stock clearance offer on the R7500 now that the R9000 is here.

Well I think you should use Voodoo 2 2000 as it is the best solution for pci products.
But it is a quite old card and it cannot run latest games quite fastly.(well i don`t know if it does not run ).Well new cards are available in pci mode in which some are:
Geforce 2 GTS pci
Geforce 2 MX pci
They are available at low cost and Provide Reasonable Performence.
