What pc would be the benchmark equivalent of the cray-1?

According to the article the Cray-1 peaked at about 250 megaflops .. Single core AMD 64's and P4's ( 2g ?? ) exceed a gigaflop )

Funny I was just thinking about that. I'll be curious as to the answers.

Another good conjecture would be a modern car's computing power.
