What PC games are you looking foward to in 2002??

I know that the Console's have been in the spot light the last month or two, but there are a few PC games coming out that are going to be PC exclusives!! May I say that this year could be a good year for PC gaming:

Star Wars (MMORPG)
Command and Conquer Renegade
Neverwinter Nights
Morrowind

Grand Theft Auto 3 (probably with multiplayer)

Some of the games such as Star Wars, Unreal 2 and Age of Mythology are PC only

Oh and how about the Vaporwares: Duke Nukem Forever and Team Fortress 2



Plus there are a ton of games that I haven't played yet:

Definatly GTA3. I am having a very hard time sitting here and not going out and buying a ps2 so I can play it (and State of Emergency when it's out).

Other then that, TF2 would be nice to see. Same with DNF and Doom3. If Unreal looks as good as initial screenshots I've seen, I'll probably buy a Ti500 for it. Either way, this pc is probably getting a new video card this year

Age of Wonders II, Morrowind, DX2 and Thief 3. I doubt if Quake 4 will ship this year but Doom 3 may make Xmas.

Yea, it does seem like an excessive amount of sequels! I guess publishers don't want to take chances anymore. But it's not just the PC industry. The movie and console industry are suffering from sequelistis also.

But anyway, the games I want to play:

FredLocks, mentioning Thief 3 and something like serious sam 2 in the same list is....uncivilized. How could you be into Thief, with it's gameplay depth. story and stealth then switch over to serious sam with its shallow, fast-paced trigger-happy action? Two peas from a different pod!

"Uncivilized" you say jellybaby...it's called diversity. the Thief series is my alltime favorite, but that does not mean I don't like pullin out the rocket launcher every now and then and and wasting 100 baddies in 2 minutes. If you were to stick to one style of game like fpsneakers...unfortunantly you would not have many options

Fair enough. I "diversified", too. But after oh I'd say a half-dozen Doom clones I burned out. Your burn-out point differs and that's cool. So long as you put Thief in its proper place above serious sam we got no beef.
