Not sure.

Nope, not BFV, especially since we didn't use Thompsons in Vietnam. Whatever game that is, it's WWII. Pacific Theater, to be exact.

No, not close. Those GI's are wearing WWII uniforms, standing next to WWII half-tracks, and carrying WWII armament.

Good point about the Pacific theater, the USMC did 100% of the ground fighting there. While it was mostly Army that handled Europe with some support from the Navy and Marines.

Those are armored personal carriers (m113), not half tracks. Which is confusing, because they post date WWII by more than 15 years.

And yes Thompsons where used in Vietnam.
In the game You play as a Marine and a Thompson and a M14 are your starting weapons.

I think it's trying to emulate a Vietnam scenery/scenario though. Yes the Thompson's are out of place, but as you mentioned so are the APC's.

Has to be vietnam, very early, because of the 113s. From the wiki on the Thompson:

During the Vietnam War, some South Vietnamese army units and defense militia were armed with Thompson submachine guns, and a few of these weapons were used by reconnaissance units, advisors, and other American troops.

Ditto on Men Of Valor. Also, the Marines in the Pacific campaign only used camouflaged helmet covers. The pic looks like they were using all green helmet covers which indicates heavily that the pics is from a Vietnam era game. Also, WWII did not feature any mixed race units, as the pic clearly indicates black and white soldiers fighting together.
