i'm slowly building a core i7 rig, so far all I have is the case. I expect to be purchasing the final parts no later than two months from now.

Right now I have 600$ US in my paypal from selling my old laptop. I figure I might as well buy some stuff from the US and take advantage of the crappy exchange rate while i'm at it.

This will be my multimedia workstation. I do a lot of photo and video editing, and I will be using this computer as a local fileserver and occasional media center. I want to spend max 3500$ CAD including monitor keyboard and mouse. I WILL overclock at some point, however I'll probably get the computer running at stock and get a feel for it before I overclock anything.

case: antec three hundred (already got this)
mobo: so far I like the gigabyte but I will wait on this until prices drop a little.
CPU: core i7 920
Ram: DDR3 1333mhz, I doubt I need 1600? again i'll wait on this one as well before I make any final decisions
PSU: corsair 620HX looks nice and should be powerful enough.
optical: blu ray reader + random dvd burner
HDD: samsung F1 1tb, hopefully later add that sexy intel SSD or a velociraptor
gfx: ? unsure. I know I want something deticated but I have a 360 so I can't really see myself doing much gaming at all. Anything you guys could recomend in the 100$ range that has HDCP?
extras: 24" acer or dell monitor, logitech mx revolution and dinovo edge

feel free to give me advice on anything, i've been out of the loop for a little bit
