oh come on, Vermont! We have nice blooming springs. We get nice hot blistering heat for 2-6 weeks in the summer. It's 96 degrees outside now. We have tons of leaves in the fall which make for the pleasing task of hours-on-end raking. We have winters and terrible road conditions that teach you to be a better driver. And the hundreds of miles of DIRT roads give us the officially declared "mud season" which makes for tons of fun and drips money to car washes, and makes every trip to work a muddin' adventure!

Who wouldn't wanna live here? At lease we never get earthquakes/tornados/hurrcanes/floods. (OK we've had like 2 floods in the past century)

Vermont, as in the state. (Not the county of CA)

North East = Maine, Vermot, Mass, New Hamp, easten upstate NY in the adorondacs

I guess it would depend on your idea of what makes a climate good. I prefer something with 4 distinct seasons and TX does not qualify.

Ya, I live in RI, which is Northeast as well as Conn, but separate topic.

And we get Humid weather. Vermont might not. But I can say for a fact Mass, RI and Conn
all get nice hot and humid days. We get dry heat too. And living on the coast or RI, Newport,
we get a nice breeze which makes summer really nice (usually).

I wouldn't describe it as the best. We do sort of skip Spring.
I used to go to school in North Carolina. They had Springs and Fall.
Summer is miserable though. And Winter is just a like a cold Fall and Spring.
So its not really a winter. I wouldn't say thats the best. Don't know what
I would call the best climate. It all depends on what you like. People who prefer
colder weather are going to argue against the south. People who hate cold aren't
going to like the North. People who like all four season are probably somewhere in
the middle.

Definately not Tennessee....humidity is around 90-100% almost year-round. HVAC Engineer's worst nightmare.
