I went to uscis.gov but couldn't find list of documents/ papers that I need in order to apply green card for my wife. Does anyone know? I'm US citizen by the way and got married overseas.

Is she an illegal alien? You might want to look into legal help if thats the case.

Congratulations on linking to a business that profits off people too stupid to download free forms from official US government websites.

Actually my link goes to the main immigration portal.

And if you opened your eyes to look at the page, you would see the menu on the left hand side that says Family Based Forms. In that section, you would then see the form that says Petition for Alien Relative. On the bottom of that page, you would see a link to the form in PDF format.

I'd buy the pamplet already posted.

I think you can find all the info online w/o it but given that the forms cost about $2000 to file properly, an extra $50 to make sure you have everything is worth it IMHO.

If you go through a lawyer it will cost double that.

Funny, your link is for Citizenship Application. The OP specifically asked for Green Card, apparently you're too ignorant to know the difference.

How Do I Change My Fiance(e)'s Status to Lawful Permanent Resident?

Look for Form I-485 or Form I-765

The I-130 form is only 1 of many forms you have to file.
You also need the work authorization (probably),
authorization to travel while green card is being processed (probably),
some other form that basically says they can't go on welfare and you have to support them (even if divorced)

At one point I had a list of everthing but I dont' know what I did with it.

After she gets her green card work towards getting her citizenship. My grandmother was a Danish citizen and the lawyer for my grandfather's company had to sit down and explain to her what would happen to her finances and things if my grandfather died before she did. She would have lost enough that she wouldn't have enough for her retirement.

i don't think that is correct. citizenship would not do anything above and beyond what a greencard holder is entitled to.

This is a crazy nutso idea but how about calling USCIS or whatever the hell they're called now. When I had to go through the process for my wife, they provided a lot of help.

Well the OP can't find them either...do you have a link?

    :)

You may have a harder time since you married overseas. At the time of mine it was a red flag.

My wife doesn't want to be a citizen of the US...she is a green card holder now and perm. resident though.

It took about 2 years, they rejected the first application.
