I have a CPU, and the only markings on it i can see clearly are L006A184 on the CPU part itself. Is there any way i can identify this CPU with these numbers? I was told it was a 600EB. P3 600 at 133FSB. LMK if you all can help!

There should be another number on it that looks something like SLXXX, where XXX are letters or numbers. That is the s-spec. With that number you can go to Intel's developer information website, check out the specification update, and figure out what chip you have.

From the number you have, I can only tell that the chip was put together/packaged in Malaysia, in the sixth week of the year 2000.

Nack

I have looked over the CPU, where is the SLXXX number at? Cnat find it! I gotta be getting dumber as the days go by, i swear.

I have plugged it into my BH6, but that isnt "telling" me what it is. Wish it would! Have a Chaintek coming, so will throw it on there as soon as i get it.

how old is the bios on the bh6?? flash it to the latest and try it again .... perhaps the bios is too old to read the CPUID... what's the actual message you get?
