Hey guys...
I bought one of the Newegg s754 A64 3400+ Venice CPU's from someone on the forums and I wasn't sure what to expect from it. I had a A64 3000+ (130nm) CPU running at 2.4ghz on my NF3 Gigabyte board. Since then I have switched to a Epox EP-8NPASLI motherboard and I couldn't get my 3000+ above 2.1ghz. So, I picked up this 3400+ and was hoping that with the 90nm core and newer memory controller I would get some nice clocks. But then it hit me that 2.4ghz might be pretty close to the Max. these cores get anyhow. I am running it at 2.5ghz for now (208x12) and it seems to be stable (I haven't run P95 yet though).
What have others gotten their chips to? I am sure a bunch of AT'ers have bought that combo from Newegg. Please post what speeds you are running and what voltages.
