I have that whole CD, its got some good tracks on it.
btw....THAT SONG IS NOT TECHNO!!!! I'm sorry but I get really aggrevated when people tell me I listen to techno or ask me about techno. I've never owned a single techno song, and I never will.
Runaway by Real McCoy
I remixed it for some DJ CD's I put together. sounds awesome. if you heard it remixed by me, you would probably want to own it without question.
categories are techno, trance, dance, electronic, and so many more. but there was something in an MN newspaper a while back. this famous music specialist said he didn't care about how society tries to use mathematics to subcategorize and explain the nature of how music should be classified, he said "if the music sounds good, I like it."
anyway here's my recommendation of artists, all of them have made worldwide charts without question or even second thoughts, but are not limited to:
Novaspace
DJ Sammy
Ayumi Hamasaki
Milk Inc.
Cosmic Gate
Groove Coverage
Cascada
Akira
DHT
Tess
Sun
4 Strings
Ian Van Dahl
DJ Encore
Lasgo
Special D
Paul Van Dyk
ATB
Talla 2XLC
Taucher
Ayla
Alice Deejay

I.C.Q.
Soda Club
Kate Ryan
Voi
O.S.I.R.I.S.

System S.F.
it's pretty sloppy, but here's a DJ list of a CD I'm making:
-i'm too lazy to give the artists and the full name descriptions, but it was a scratch copy and then all I gotta say now is that you will never find some of the rarest and best trance songs on limewire, kazaa and music buying websites - it's just a fact you know, artists that couldn't get their songs to the charts made techno/trance/dance just allowed music more mysterious to society 'cuz it was never popular to some people, or they didn't know where to look, sales for some of their CD's were terrible.
after I finish this CD, it's probably one of the last DJ mixes I will actually construct. school and work are really filling in the gaps with my schedule.
it's not finished, but it's a start of what will most likely go on the CD. and no, I'm not putting anything through a recording studio for production, as of yet.
oh yeah, you wouldn't be surprised, but some of the songs that Beatmania and Konami chose for their dance video games are actually popular songs in the clubbing world. I'm not a DDR freak, I suck at the game for one thing, but I'm sure the companies have made millions from high school & college nerds who couldn't get enough of themselves.
